I spend an exorbitant amount of time each year preparing my garden for my heirloom tomato patch (that has to be moved every 2 years). I amend the soil, add lots of peat and make it really “fluffy” because Laurel of Laurel’s Heirloom Tomatoes, the queen of Heirloom Tomatoes says “think fluffy.” I don’t want to even admit to how much I spend on my heirlooms – but they are so delicious it’s worth it.
I got an extra surprise this week when I found this tomato on the vine!
When you look at it, it looks like a randy peach but from my favorite angle it looks like my cat William from the back. haha!
It’s unfortunate that the tomato didn’t grow into the shape of the Virgin Mary or Jesus because then I would have tried to sell it onĀ Ebay. As is – it is going to end up in a salad.
